Four modes for the rotation

Trivia is the headliner most weeks. The other three keep your regulars from solving the room.

🧠

Trivia

Lead

12,000+ questions across 15 categories. Mix MC, true/false, and short-answer in the same round. Picture and music questions land. AI auto-grades the short-answers so you're not arguing about spelling at 11pm.

🎭

Bluff

Balderdash for the whole pub. Pose an obscure question, teams write fake answers, everyone votes. Points for fooling the table next to you. Run it monthly. The quiet teams turn into the loud teams.

Lightning

Phones become buzzers. Faster correct answer, more points. Use it as the tiebreaker round, or as a five-minute jolt between rounds when energy dips.

🎯

Brainpardy

Jeopardy-style 5×5 grid with Daily Doubles and a Final round with team wagers. The strategy element is what hooks the regulars who win every Tuesday and want a real challenge.

Every Tue 🧠
Weekly Trivia Quiz

Five rounds, mixed categories, picture round in the middle. The format your regulars know by heart.

First Thu / month 🎭
Bluff Night

No trivia knowledge required. Loud, dumb, fun. Pulls a different crowd than Tuesday.

Last Tue / month 🎯
Themed Brainpardy

Movies. Music. Geography. Pick a theme, build the 5×5 grid, run Final Brainpardy with wagers. Bigger purse, bigger draw.

Lightning tiebreaker

Drop it in when two teams are tied at the end. Five buzzer questions, one winner.

A typical Tuesday, host's view

  1. 1
Sunday afternoon — build the quiz.

Pull from the library, hand-pick a few, or have the AI generate a round on a theme (90s music, weird British history). Save it as a template, reuse it next month with three swapped questions.

  2. 2
7:30pm — open the lobby, QR on the displays.

Players scan, name their team, claim a table. No app downloads. Latecomers join until round 2.

  3. 3
    8:00pm — start round 1.

Question on the screen, answers collected on phones, you read the prompt out loud. AI grades short-answer responses (no more arguing about whether "the Beatles" needs "the").

  4. 4
    9:15pm — picture / music round.

Audio plays through your sound system, image shows on the displays. Teams scribble guesses on phones. Halfway-point reset for the room.

  5. 5
10:15pm — final standings, hand out the bar tab.

Top three on the leaderboard. The winning team's bar tab gets credited. Everyone else complains about question 4 in round 3 (it's tradition).

Why pubs run it weekly

The pub-quiz format works because it's a low-effort excuse for a midweek beer. The risk is staleness. If your regulars solve every category in a month, they stop coming.

Variety is the moat. Bluff Night pulls a totally different crowd. Brainpardy gives the smart teams an actual strategic round to chew on. Lightning resets the energy when round 4 is dragging. Same login, same display, four different shows.

And the AI generation is for hosts who don't want to spend Sunday afternoon writing 50 questions. Hand it a theme, get a round back. Edit the three you don't like. Done in 20 minutes.
