The Gig Board · free for venues

Dead Tuesday? Friday needs a draw? Find the host who fills it.

Post the night you want filled: trivia, karaoke, bingo, whatever your room is into. Brainflood suggests local hosts who fit your night and your budget, tells you why each one fits, and lets hosts nearby know the night is open. Posting is free for venues. Always.

Post your night free

No card. Your phone number and email stay private until you accept an intro.

You know the night. You just need the person.

Most owners already know which night is the problem. What is hard is finding someone who runs a good show, lives close enough to show up every week, is free that night, and charges something you can pay. That is the part the Gig Board does.

🍽️

The dead Tuesday

The kitchen is open, the bartender is on, and the room is empty. A weekly trivia or bingo night gives people a reason to make Tuesday their night, and regulars come back for the same table every week.

The Friday that needs a draw

Busy nights can still be better nights. A karaoke host on Fridays or a music bingo set on Saturday gives people a reason to pick your place over the one down the street, and to stay for another round.

Your regulars may have asked already. Players can ask for a night at a bar by name on the Gig Board. Look up your place to see what locals asked for and on which nights, then claim its page free. Once we confirm you run it, the page and every ask for it are yours. Look up your bar

How it works

Post it, meet them, book it.

Four steps, and you stay in charge of every one of them.

  1. Post your night

What you want, which nights, start time, how often, your budget, and whether the host brings sound and screens.

  2. See who fits

Brainflood suggests hosts and says why: how far away, free that night, rate, nights run. Matching hosts nearby hear about it by email.

  3. Trade intros

Send one, or answer a host who sent you one. Contact details stay private until someone says yes.

  4. Book it, then review

Settle the details in your message thread, book the night on the board, and review each other after.

Suggested for your Friday karaoke
A karaoke host near you
  • 12 miles away
  • Free on Friday
  • Rate fits your budget
  • Ran 40 nights on Brainflood
Send an intro Phone and email hidden until you both say yes
An example of how a suggested host shows up. The reasons are real fields; the numbers here are for illustration.

Before anyone says yes, the public sees

  • Town and state
  • A map pin at the ZIP code's center, not the venue
  • Counts only, like "12 people want trivia here"
No phone numbers, emails or street addresses.

After a yes, the two of you see

  • Names, phone and email
  • Directions to the exact address
  • A message thread to settle the details
Only inside the accepted intro.

What you can post

Pick the kind of night. Not sure which one fits your room? Each card links to what that night actually looks like.

Posting a one-off? That works too: pick "One night" instead of every week, every other week, or once a month.

Why hosts on Brainflood

Proof, not a pitch.

Anyone can write "best trivia host in town" in a bio. A host card on the Gig Board also shows what Brainflood actually saw.

Nights run on Brainflood

Counted from games the host actually ran on the platform, not typed into a profile.

Player ratings

From the people who actually played their nights, not from the host's friends list.

Venue reviews

Left by venues after a real booking on the board. No booking, no review. Hosts review venues too.

A host who is new to Brainflood will have a short record. That does not make them a bad host; it just means you should talk to them the way you would anyone new, and maybe start with a trial night.

Questions owners ask

The straight answers

Nothing. The Gig Board is free for venues: no listing fee, no booking fee, and Brainflood takes no cut of what you pay the host. You and the host agree on the rate and you pay them directly, the same way you would pay any entertainer.

Independent trivia hosts, KJs, bingo callers and event hosts who run their nights on Brainflood, plus people who list themselves as available. Each one lists their city, how far they will travel, which nights they are free, what they run, their rate, and whether they bring their own gear. The board is new, so how many hosts are close to you depends on where you are. Post your night either way: matching hosts nearby hear about it by email, and it stays on the board for hosts to find.

Nobody, until you say yes. Hosts answer your post with an intro, and you can send intros to hosts you like. Contact details stay hidden on both sides until the other side accepts. Accepting opens a message thread; declining tells them politely. An intro nobody answers closes on its own after two weeks.

Every host sets their own rate, and it moves with your city, the night, how long the show runs, and whether they bring the sound and screens. Brainflood does not set prices. For a sense of scale, our own guide for hosts suggests a standard two-hour weekly night often lands somewhere around $100 to $300, with private events higher. Put the budget you actually have in your post; "Rate fits your budget" is one of the things matching looks at, so an honest number gets you better suggestions.

Less than you think. A Brainflood night runs on a laptop, a TV the room can see, and speakers. Players use their own phones, no app to download. Some hosts bring their own sound and screens. Your post says whether you need that, and host cards show who has their own gear. If you already have a TV and a house sound system, say so and you will see more hosts who fit.

There is no contract with Brainflood. You can pause or close your post any time, and after a booking both sides can leave an honest review. If a post or listing looks wrong (spam, a fake venue, someone asking for unpaid work), report it from the board and we will take a look.
