League or tournament?
A tournament is one event, decided over a few matches in a night or two. A league is the whole season those events live inside: many separate nights, one standings table, a champion at the end. From week one to champion
Name it, add a season label like a quarter or a year, and pick how it scores: placement points by finish, or a running cumulative total. Make it public and you get a shareable standings page.
Type teams in, or make the league public and let a team sign itself up from the standings page with its saved team. Teams also join the table on their own the first night they play.
Keep hosting the trivia you already run, in any mode. Attach the nights that count to the league. A league sits on top of your normal games, it does not replace them.

Run an 8-week season. Same crews every Tuesday. By week six the room is full because the table is tight and nobody wants to miss a night.
