🎤 KJ Software

KJ software for karaoke bars that don't feel like the 1990s

One KJ app on your phone runs the singer queue. Singers add songs by scanning a QR. The crowd watches a real public display, votes on Contest Mode rounds, and gets pulled back in by Name That Tune trivia between sets.

Two modes. One Saturday night.

Most KJ software is just a queue with a search bar. Yours has a queue, but it also gives you a way to keep the room awake when somebody's three drinks deep into Bohemian Rhapsody.

A week of programming

A typical four-night karaoke schedule, plus the Sunday finale that turns regulars into competitors.

Thursday

🎤 Open mic karaoke

Standard queue. Trivia Hybrid kicks in if the queue dips below three.

Friday

🎤 Open mic karaoke

Same setup. Tip-jar links on the display. Let the regulars run it.

Saturday

Contest Night (qualifier)

Audience votes on every performance. Top 8 advance to Sunday's finale.

Sunday

🏆 Contest finale

Eight singers, two songs each, audience picks the winner. The bar is full because everyone showed up to vote for their friend.

What you actually do as KJ

No laptop on a folding table. The whole rig runs from your phone, and the public display is whatever TV the bar already owns.

  1. 1

Open the session, point the TV at the display URL

QR code goes up automatically. Singers scan it and they're in. No app downloads, no logins, no "what's the WiFi password" thing.

  2. 2

    Singers add their own songs

YouTube search inside the player phone. The new request shows up in your queue with the singer's name and song title. You don't type anything.

  3. 3

Tap to call the next singer

TTS announcement on the speakers, video starts on the display, fairness mode keeps the queue rotating so the same three people don't sing every song.

  4. 4

Drop a Trivia Hybrid round when the queue's empty

Three questions, music category, 30 seconds each. Buys you time to set up the next singer and gives the people who weren't going to sing something to do.

  5. 5

On Contest nights, flip the switch

Audience voting opens after every performance. Live tally on the display. Top scores carry over if you want a multi-week tournament.

Which tier you'd want

Karaoke runs on Pro at $39/month. That's where Contest Mode, Trivia Hybrid, AI Host, and the audience-voting display all live. Starter ($19) covers basic queue management if you're just running open-mic nights and don't need the contest features yet. Business ($99) adds white-label branding for venues that want their own logo on the display.

All paid plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. No contracts.
